I’m working on the SAS program that compares diagnosed

Customer Question

Hi, I’m working on the SAS program that compares diagnosed patients and healthy volunteers by gender, race and age (+/-2 years), the other words every dx patient supposed to have a pair from healthy volunteers. The code creates all possible matches and then selects the first one and continues to match till the pool is empty. Every week I’m refreshing the report using the latest data and this week I got less matching pairs than previous week but all the numbers make sense and there are no unmatched pairs left. My question is – is there any statistical explanation to that or my SAS code doesn’t work correctly. Thank you!
