This fault can be caused by the clogged sunroof drains to where the water is pooling up in the carpet area affecting the electrical wiring or connections. This can trigger the hatch to open.
I recommend having the sunroof drains checked and cleaned and the carpet dried out as well as any electronic connections and wiring dried out. If any of the electrical components have water intrusion in them then the electrical component will need to be replaced.
A shop will usually charge around $100 to check this for you. The cost for repair varies as it depends on what is found to be at fault needing to be replaced or repaired.
