Customer: I have a 2014 Cadillac SRX that is having some issues with the lift gate working. It forms little wet in the trunk from a hurricane and I replaced the lift gate module in the trunk. I can hear stuff click when I push the button for it to open and the door latch unhooks but the motor to lift or bring it back down doesn’t work with it. I’ve checked a few fuses. They seem good. What fuses should I check ? Is there a relay? Where is the motor? Maybe condensation got on the brushes and it’s slightly froze up

the liftgate module needs to be programmed. did you replace with a new module?

but I found that’s not the issue. The issue is that the electric motor is right there at the bottom. I’ve never seen a lift gate module down there. I dried it out and now it works
does the vehicle have a sun roof?
the sunroof drain gets clogged and causes the lift gate module to get wet.
