Replaced front struts on 2011 DTS. Right strut makes

Customer Question
Replaced front struts on...

Replaced front struts on 2011 DTS. Right strut makes clanking noise when bump is hit. Have replaced right strut and bearing. Clank is still there.

Mechanic's Assistant: How has the ride been lately? Have you noticed any fluid under the car?

No fluid under car. Ride seems to be improved with the new struts.

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your DTS yourself? What have you tried so far?

Mechanics with 35 yrs experience replaced struts. They have replaced the right strut, right bearing with no let up with the clanking. We used the old springs which seem to be OK.

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

This DTS is in very good condition. 71000 miles all on pavement.

A loose stabilizer link or ball joint could cause a clunk. Do you have a set of chassis ears?
