2001 caddy Deville no gas gauge, replace pump and level sensor in tank still no gauge.

Mechanic's Assistant: Which particular sensor are you asking about? And have any trouble codes been triggered?

The gas gauge reads empty all the time..no led bars show on gauge. So we removed tank installed new pump and level sensorcwhich was on the pump already. Still no reading on gauge.

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your DeVille yourself? What have you tried so far?

New pump and sensor on pump.

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

The sender sends signal to the PCM then PCM sends signal to the instrument cluster. Possible problems are wiring between sender and PCM, PCM, or instrument cluster. The most likely problem is wiring then instrument cluster. So you need to test wiring between PCM and instrument cluster. Each wire should show under 5 ohms of resistance between the two points, if resistance is high then repair/replace wiring as needed. If both wires show to be good then replace the instrument cluster. Here is a wiring diagram to help with testing. My goal is to provide 5 star service so please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. Thanks
