Second opinion] I have a 2005 cadillac escalade that will only blow cold air.Changed out the blend door actuator and no difference. so I was wondering if ther was a temperature control actuator and if so where on earth it would be located

Mechanic's Assistant: Do the vents feel cold? Is there a coolant leak?

Zero colant leaks and all settings are cold.

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Escalade yourself? What have you tried so far?

Changed out the blend door actuator and the passenger side under dash. recalibrated. everything went through the calibration process just fine.

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Just if there was an actual temperature control, actuator and where it may be located.

Hello there, I am Cam.

I am Licensed technician at a GM dealership with more than 16 years experience.
Like you, I am a user of this website and as such, any billing questions should be sent to customer service.

I ask that you please provide details and communicate with me so we can make your experience here worth 5 stars! I am around most days but not every minute of every day. If you reply while I am offline, I will respond when I am next online.

I am reviewing your request and will post in a moment.

is this cold on both sides? If so then its not likely an actuator issue but a coolant flow issue. The actuator you changed under the dash on the passengers side is the drives zone temperature actuator.

Next I would try checking the heater hoses to make sure they are hot. One should be hot, one should be cooler. I suspect you will find both cold or something like that.

Both lines are equally warm

Ok so your heater core is plugged. Take those lines off, flush water both ways through. One should be hot, one should be much cooler.
