Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the brake fluid? How's the level and when was it last changed?

Resetting error codes turns them on but only for a while

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your DeVille yourself? What have you tried so far?

Bulbs are good

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Traction control light stays on and it says sytems electrical ceck or something to that effect

those are good codes, so all of these codes have 1 thing that cause all of then and thats a low battery or odd voltage situation, have you had the battery load tested and the connections checked?

its prob something to do with a computer and a voltage issue, these things are known for bad grounds

there is a clicking sound when i push the brake. i hear it near the shift stick. it may have always been there but it seems i only notice it now.

Your problem involves the brake switch in some way. The lights aren't working because there is no signal from the brake switch, and that's also why the P1574 is setting. It's going to require some electrical testing at the time the problem is happening to determine exactly what is going on. You could have a wiring or module issue, but a bad brake switch would be more likely.

Thats what i thought. I will try that first and if that does not work i may try to use the engine ground and ground it to the frame. Dont really want to search for a bad ground
