Does the rear blower even work?

Ask Your Own Cadillac Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
rear blower works. Attempts to recalibrate actuators give no differing results. (Pulled fuse , run vehicle, turn off, replace fuse turned key accessory to no sound of actuators moving) seems to be no communication. I have tried aux controls as well. The only sound I hear seems to be coming from what i tjink to be temperature sensors (look like a small speaker and sounds like a computer blower stopping as you turn off the switch)

Can you use a scan tool to see which codes are stored?

Ask Your Own Cadillac Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
No I would have to go to a shop in order to do that. I don't have access to a scan tool.
Cadillac Mechanic: Chris (aka- Moose), Cadillac Technician replied 7 months ago

I do not know of a way to diagnose this without a scan tool since this is module controlled system.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer! I apologize for the extended wait time you experienced, I've only just come online now and would like to assist you with your question.

If the actuators and module have been replaced then you may have an issue with both the blend and mode doors. They could be broken and not spinning with the actuators or they could be bound in the box and not moving.

When the actuators were replaced did you try moving each door by hand?

Ask Your Own Cadillac Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Both move freely without actuators attached. I am leaning toward purchasing a rear control panel. But will test for voltage when I find details on how to access
Cadillac Mechanic: sprinkles08, ASE Certified Technician replied 7 months ago

Will the rear HVAC module communicate with a scan tool?

Ask Your Own Cadillac Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
No codes revealed when connected to the vehicle.
Cadillac Mechanic: sprinkles08, ASE Certified Technician replied 7 months ago

I did you see you mention that in an earlier post.
