I have a 2004 cadillac escalade esv awd, problems: positive

battery cable worked loose, after...
i have a 2004 cadillac escalade esv awd, problems: positive battery cable worked loose, after i tried starting it, i retighten positive cable, dash lights flickering/flashing- no start,engine does not crank/no clicking from low battery, I tried jumping it with my other car-let charge '5'minutes, still same issue-no start-dash light's flickering/flashing-no crank-no clicking when ignition key turned to start position. Replaced battery(new), checked all fuses, tested alternator(good). QUESTION; Could it be the starter and the BCM has It locked ??? From James R. Wallace(Eskimo)

Customer: Yes I have checked all the electrical fuses nothing bad, new battery, when you turn key on to start it does not crank/turn-over-dash lights flashing/flickering-no clicking from low battery or bad connection.eskimo

Hey how are you sir

have you tried A Master reset in case the anti theft was triggered on e since it seen low or no voltage when battery cable go loose and now the starter is enabled thru the pcm based on the anti theft did recognize key etc..

usually you need a gm tech II scaner ,butr if u hooked upo the battery and the cables and have 12 volts and no issue in the system this shoule reset

Master reset Procedure

1- Disconnect Battery Cables ( Negative & Positive Cables )you can use any electrical wire as an extension if battery cables don't reach .

2- Hold cables Together for 60 secs ,then let go,( we are taking any residual power out wiring harness ,since power stays in harness up to 10 minutes if after battery disconnect ) ( do not worry no spark will happen since we took the power sources out if the loop by disconnection both cables .

3- Wait 30 minutes

4- Make sure all doors are closed

5- Reconnect battery Cables

6- Lock & unlock the vehicles using the key from driver door side (if you have a key fob with no blade key, just lock & unlock using the key fob buttons)

7- Enter the vehicle and attempt to start

If that does not work have it scanned and post fault codes back here for me i can help you further and be more accurate

I need to make sure I got this right, Chad, Mr.Farhat sir, I'm going to disconnect the battery cables,then what ???, I know I have to Make Sure Everything Is Closed on Escalade and wait '30' minutes to do reconnect to battery, next Lock & Unlock by drivers door and start vehicle, I'm not understanding about cable(s)# 2

No, I cannot do that,been out of work from operation a month from my job no workmens comp/no unemployment, '2' small co. loans of $740.00 for "1" month, my living expense $2700.00(Everything). Getting caught up on my bills, thank you for your asistence Chad sir., Eskimo

  1. DISCONNECT CABLES , BOTH OF THEM, THEN TOUCH BOTH ENDS OF CABLES FOR 60 SECS THEN WAIT 30 MIN WITH CABLES DISCONNECTED THEN Connect BACK ,POSITIVE FIRST THEN NEGATIVE ,THEN LOCK AND UNLOCK DRIVER DOOR THEN START
