Hi my name is ***** ***** I will be happy to assist with this today. In some cases I may need more info to assist better.I apologize for any delay.

What happens unfortunately is the latch binds or jams for the glove box causing this fault here.In some cases pushing on the glove box at the same time you are trying to unlock or open it will allow it to then open and in other cases I have had to break the glove box handle and use pliers or similar to release the latch to then open it.Once opened then I had to replace the glove box handle and in some cases the latch.

Unfortunately when it jams like this here there is no easy way to get it to open and this usually has to be done.
