P1061. Had for about a...
I just bought it personaly. When I bought it had a code P1061. Had for about a week now, and yesterday when I'm leaving the store sitting at light it stales on me. Start it runs then stales . Repeat this a couple times and realize only when RPMs get under the 1. Get it the part store to scan, now P0058, P0335,P0341 are reading. Read around found a few different solutions. Dont have a whole lot of money being a single parent of 3. What do I do?
JA: Just to clarify, what are the exact lights you're talking about?
Customer: Check ingine light ho2s-22(bank 2sensor2) heater low side short to B+
JA: What is the model/year of your Cadillac?
Customer: ho2s-22(bank2sensor2)heater circuit malfunction
JA: What year is your Cadillac?
Customer: crankshaft position sensor circuit malfunction
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: And camshaft position sensor signal range performance
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Haven't tried anything yet on my car except for looking it up to a reader

when the codes p0335 and p0341 happen at the same time, its esy to tell you to replace both sensors, but that wont solve the problem. is the vehicle starting at this point?

Start by replacing the oil and oil filter, dirty oil is a common cause and if that doesnt help replace the camshaft position sensor.

P0341 Intake Camshaft Position Sensor Performance (Bank 1) - With Automatic Transmission

Possible CausesSetting Conditions

  • Check for any foreign material passing between the sensor and the camshaft reluctor wheel, or camshaft reluctor wheel damage
  • Check for excessive air gap between the reluctor wheel and the sensor
  • CMP connector is damaged (check pins for damage, and for moisture)
  • CMP wiring routed too close to the ignition coils, Aftermarket add-on electrical equipment, solenoids, relays or motors
  • Incorrect sensor installation, or a cracked or damaged sensor
  • CMP sensor has come in contact with the reluctor wheel
  • CMP sensor has failed
  • Engine running; and the ECM detected a signal from the Intake CMP sensor, but the number of pulses were less than or more than what was expected for one crankshaft revolution, or that the CMP sensor signal did not correlate to the crankshaft position.

At this point i wouldnt worry about p0335 as its a product of p0341 in my opinion.

Replacing spark plugs coil packs boots and O2 sensor crankshaft sensor is there anything I need to do after replacing this before I start the car up and hook the battery backup?

Replaced all those things, numbers codes,and check infine light went off ,ran rough fir a sec, idled to a smooth setting. Drove it for about an hour off an on, then the sane 02 sensor code and infine light came on as well. Down suffrage rough. If clear the code, start up and runs better and shifts better but only temporary .also noticed light on heater r screen flickers randomly.

ok, from what i could interpret , you replaced the plugs , but only the boots for the coil packs, an o2 sensor, (was the correct one replaced?), the crankshaft sensor(i mentioned not to worry about the one) it was the cam sensor i wanted you to replace. and you found a vacuum hose disconnected from a canister looking thing on the driver side of the engine.(are you sure it wasnt the brake booster)? she drove fine for an hour or so then check engine light came back on and you get the same o2 sensor code. is this all correct?

wany break boosterms hose was on other side, was wonderin if it has to do with after market 02 sensor not relaying wright?

im having a hard time deciphering your sentencing. im trying to understand your typing. it wasnt the brake booster. it was on the other side, so it was the right(passenger) side? and you are wondering if the code for the sensor came back because you used an aftermarket sensor and not an oem one...is this correct?

aftermarket o2 sensors are never recommended. also take a can of carb cleaner, engine running, spray around every vacuum line,hose,connection. also aorund the intake base, brake booster, throttlebody. if the rpms change then you have found your leak.

I have a 2006 cts, RWd. I have a 2006 cts rwd with 3.6
hi I have a 2006 cts rwd with 3.6 engine. 131,000 miles. Transmission was going out so I had it replaced with a used tranny from an 07 with 46,000 miles. The transmission seems to be working fine in all ranges, shifting ok but I still have a random at different times while driving a sound that seems to be coming from the transmission area like a short buzzing or humming noise. Usually happens while steady rpms, not under acceleration. It started making this same random noise in the previous transmission when it started to go out. Finally it quit shifting into gears and in overdrive the previous trans would run at 3000 rpms at 65. This new used trans seems to be making the same just random "buzzing" or humming noise. It doesn't stay for very long. Just comes and goes. Am I looking in the right place or is it just coincidence that this is another issue that started when my original trans failed. Also, there is no transmission dipstick or a way to fluid replace in these units. Is this trans maintenance free? I can't believe that an automatic trans would be maintenance free. … read more
