The code P2601 on your 2009 CTS is a known fault code and GM has released a service bulletin dealing with it and the proper repair for it which involves replacing a failed auxiliary pump and resistor due to overheated Mosfet resistor internal to pump. I have enclosed the bulletin in the link below for your review as I suspect this is the cause of the problem you are having.
