I've replaced a fuse fuel pump '81 Cadillac Deville and each

Customer Question

I've replaced a fuse for my fuel pump for my '81 Cadillac Deville and each time it blows out. Can you tell me why?
JA: Have you had any recent electrical work done on the car? Have you checked the circuit?
Customer: No recent work. Yes checked the circuit and that's y it keeps blowing out when we turn it on.
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes. Hoping to save $
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: We've tried replacing fuse to see what is causing the blow out
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Cadillac Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Fuel pump was replaced a week ago. It ran smoothly then 3 days ago I replaced brake lights. Today I turn car on and it won't turn over like it's not getting gas. I've replaced fuse 5x today.
