Customer Question

I have to replace the rear shocks on my 09 Cadillac CTSV. I am sticking with the OEM replacement. My question is do the back seats have to be removed for this job or is it all done through the trunk compartment.

The actual work to remove the top retaining nuts for the rear shocks is done thru the trunk, but to remove the rear side trunk panel to access them you are supposed to remove the rear seat cushion and seat back. You can remove the the retainers on the side trim panel that is exposed in the trunk and pull enough of the trim panel away from the inside qtr panel to get to the nuts for the job
