I have a 2008 Cadillac cts awd. drive shaft will not turn

Customer Question

I have a 2008 Cadillac cts awd. drive shaft will not turn pass thews transfer-case, would not shift into gear.
1. I have put new clutch in transfer-case put it back together,it still did the samething, it just spends inside the transfer case.
2. Took vice grip to transmission gear selective, manually changed gears, again driveshaft would not turn.
Be advised i have not added transfer case fluid and exhaust system has been removed to allow for repair.
What am i not doing? Is it the transmission or transfer case or a sensor?

Hi my name is***** me see if I can help. From what I gather from what you are saying I think this is your issue. I have seen it a few times now. The trans output spins or slips inside the splines of the awd tcase input.
