Bought a 2015 Cadillac luxury AWD with 9,000 miles. A hum

Customer Question

Bought a 2015 Cadillac luxury AWD with 9,000 miles. A hum eminates from the front drivers side and varies with speed. Also, the Goodyear Eagle tires ride hard and loud. Anybody else experiencing this?

Hello and welcome to Justanswer!

The hum could be tire noise, a wheel bearing or possibly an issue in the differential. At that low mileage I wouldn't suspect a wheel bearing or differential issue. If you're hearing an abnormal noise I expect it to be tire noise.

Have the tires between rotated to see if the noise moves?

Does the noise come and go or change pith when turning or swerving?

It was the wheel bearing. Now I need to find some quiet, smooth riding tires. Goodyear Eagles are hard riding & noisy also very cheap. Shame on Cadillac!

Great, I'm glad to hear it's fixed!
