Customer Question

We have a 2005 Cadillac STS. Recently the key fobs would not allow us to open the doors. The dealer said we had the wrong battery--die hard. It didn't have enough power to operate all the electrical items in the car. Battery was replaced with a Delco. It has been about two weeks and we are having the same problem.

I am sorry that you have not been helped yet. I just came online and saw your question.
If neither fob is working the door locks, then this is either a faulty driver door actuator or fault in the keyless remote receiver. I honestly am not sure why the would blame the car battery as if it had a low voltage or low amperage issue, you would have many other electrical issues, not just the fobs not unlocking the door.
