1999 Cadillac Deville: heater core..me that the entire Dashboard

I need more detailed instructions...
I need more detailed instructions on how to replace the heater core for my 1999 Cadillac Deville. Everyone tells me that the entire Dashboard must be removed first. I hope I don't have to do this. I have already removed the glove box. Please help.

first step

 

Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement

Removal Procedure

    Caution: This vehicle is equipped with a Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System. Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause the following conditions:

    Air bag deployment
    Personal injury
    Unnecessary SIR system repairs
    In order to avoid the above conditions, observe the following guidelines:
    Refer to SIR Component Views in order to determine if you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring.
    If you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.

     

  1. Disable the SIR system. .
  2. Open the instrument panel storage compartment door.

  3. Remove the 4 fasteners (2,7) that retain the instrument panel storage compartment assembly (8) to the instrument panel.
  4. Remove the 2 fasteners from inside the instrument panel storage compartment.
  5. Partially remove the instrument panel storage compartment assembly (8).
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  7. Remove the instrument panel storage compartment

Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 105525  Size: SH

  1. Remove the fasteners to disengage the insulator from the lower instrument panel.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector(s).
  3. Remove the insulator panel (3).

  • Disconnect the vacuum and electrical connectors from the programmer (1).

    here is the rest the entire dash does not have to come out just what i have listed

     

  • Disconnect the driver air mix actuator (2).
  • Disconnect the passenger air mix actuator (3).

  • Remove the heater core cover.

  • Remove the inlet and outlet heater hoses from the heater core.
    Object Number: 381380  Size: SH

  • Remove the heater retaining screws.
  • Remove the heater core.
