P1860 TCC PWM Solenoid Circuit Malfunction - With Automatic Transmission

Possible CausesSetting Conditions
  • TCC solenoid control circuit is open or shorted to ground
  • TCC solenoid control circuit is shorted to voltage
  • TCC solenoid Ignition circuit is open (check the TRANS fuse)
  • TCC solenoid has failed
  • PCM has failed

thanks Dan I got a flat rate quote of 2.3 hours to fix and part is about $55 bucks, plus some fluid, looks like the damages may be between $300-$400.

 

It does not shift hard, tranny fluid level is 100 per cent. I am assuming I should not drive this car until this condition is fixed. Would that be an accurate statement?

You can drive it but I wouldnt take it on any long distance drives. Driving it like will burn up the tranny fluid which could lead to other problems and poor gas mileage. Let me know if you have questions, thanks.
