1999 cadillac deville: full tank..the fuel pump..fuel regulator

This answer was rated:

i have a 1999 cadillac deville. the problem im haveing is it shuts time and i cant tell if i have a full tank of gas...the digital gaug is messed up....i drop the tank and pulled the fuel pump out... right now...but after reading up on the car...i dont think i need a new fuel pump...i think i might need a fuel regulator for the pressure....i dont know what to buy
Most likely its a fuel pump issue...ive never seen a regulator go bad on a northstar. Most likley the fuel gauge issue is the fuel level sensor which is part of that fuel pump sending unit
