I work for a HOA in California I'm a security guard I work graveyard shift an I never receive a rest break in order for me to get a break or use the restroom I have to rely on the building engineer to relieve me he's always sleep or busy working so I get no break an have to urinate in a bottle because I can't abandon my post when I bring it up to my superior he states thats how it is on graveyard

If you are denied your rest breaks then your employer is obligated to pay a penalty for requiring you to work through your breaks.

If your employer refuses to do so, you can file a wage claim with the Department of Industrial Relations.
