Customer Question

I have worked for my employer for about 6.5 months and due to high risk pregnancy I can't work anymore until my baby is born. I was wondering how long will my position be held for me? Thanks in advance.

Iggy1001 :

How many employees does your employer have?

Customer : I work for Macy's Inc. More specific for Bloomingdales.
Iggy1001 :

Then you are entitled to 12 weeks of unpaid FMLA leave, during which time your employer is required to hold your position open for you.

Customer : Will that change anything if I'll be on disability?
Iggy1001 :

No, if you're on California Pregnancy Disability Leave then you're still eligible to FMLA leave.
