I was summoned and am required to file an answer to a complaint. How do I go about responding without a lawyer?
JA: Because laws vary from state to state, could you tell me what state is this in?
Customer: it was filed in illinois. i live in arizona

Customer: no. do not have the funds
JA: Anything else you think the lawyer should know?
Customer: are you referring to the complaint?

Customer: i'm being accused of not paying the balance of a promissory note..the company has made no profit. i have no $ at this time to pay off the note. i feel the company was overvalued when I purchased the company (travel tour company) At this time I need to respond before June 23
