Hello I have a prosissory note with an individule who owns a corporation in Louisiana .The was suppost to be paid by February 15 ,2007 does Louisiana statute of Limitation law prevent me from filing a claim ?

Thank you for your question. Fortunately for you, Louisiana has one of the longest statute of limitations in the United States.

Collection on a promissory note is one through a claim for breach of contract. The Louisiana statute of limitations for breach of contract is 10 years.

Good Luck with your claim,
