Hello, I am borrowing money from my brother until my divorce

This answer was rated:

I am borrowing money from my brother until my divorce is either settled or judge rules in my case (unfortunately may go to trial). I want to draft a promissory note stating that I will pay the principal back once I have access to my portion of marital assets but am stuck on the verbiage.

Here is what I have: The principal shall be due and payable in full 10 days after liquid assets become available upon finalized Doe v. Doe divorce case.

Can you please help me with the proper legal verbiage for this?

Thank You.
Actually, your wording is not too bad as it is. There are no magic words that have to be used and using big words is not required. "The principal balance shall be due and payable in full not later than the 10th business day following the date the liquid assets are received by the borrower in the finalized Doe v. Doe divorce."
