I work as a hair stylist in Florida. I work strictly on a commission

Customer Question

I work as a hair stylist in Florida. I work strictly on a commission basis. Question is, recently (7 weeks ago) ,I as well as my co- workers, have been denied access to the amount each individual client has actually paid, as well as the amt. of tip left on there credit card. This makes it impossible to track my commissions as well as who has left me what. Is this legal and what are my rights. Thanks for any input. palmsandsunlg

Since your pay is contingent on this information it needs to be disclosed as opposed to where you are paid flat rates. You can report it to the labor department if not given access.
