HEARING RE ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE WHY SANCTIONS SHOULD NOT BE

Resolved Question:

HEARING RE: ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE WHY SANCTIONS SHOULD NOT BE ISSUED AGAINST PLAINTIFF FOR FAILURE TO FILE DEFAULT JUDGMENT PURSUANT TO CRC 3.740. What does this mean?

The Plaintiff filed a collections case against you. In order to keep the courts moving and not clogged up, he was required to serve you with the summons and complaint within 180 days of the issuance of the original summons. This he did not do. The court has scheduled a hearing and at that hearing can fine the plaintiff for failing to get the papers served.
