I got booted - heating issues. No that I can see. 2001 Buick
I had oil in my coolant so i replaced the lower intake manifold gaskets. Put everything back together along with a new water pump and thermostat. Car worked fine before, but what I get now is complicated. If I preheat it now, its cold here in WI, when I get in there is no heat, but as soon as I hit gas I start to get heat. If I just jump in and go when cold, I get heat until the car hit operating temp , then it gets almost instantly cold and heat jumps up to about 3/4 on gauge for less than a minute then drops back down to normal , but there is barely any heat. Then at times it works just fine. Also flushed system after repair, and then a few days ago flushed just the heater core. Also, I noticed that my reservoir is not getting any coolant added to it or removed from it, so I tried a new cap. … read more
