Why Are the Heater Cores Failing on the Buick LeSabre?

Customer Question

2001 Buick LeSabre has gone through three heater cores. They are failing, why is this happening?
I've been told it's a problem with the casting process - Mexican foundry. Also I have recently had the radiator and lower manifold replaced.

How often do you have the coolant flushed on your car?

Is that 3 heater cores spread out over the last 15yrs, or were they replaced in a very short time between failures?

They have all been replaced since 2013 .

Ok, 90% of shops will flush the entire cooling system afterwards, but I need to make sure. If they did, then this is a product issue and your shop needs to go thru another source and brand. If they didnt, this needs to be done as there could be an issue with electrolysis and rust flakes damaging the new heater cores.
