wanting check power voltage at fuel pump connecter on my 01 regal
JA: Have you ever replaced the fuel pump, or is this the original?
Customer: original as far as i know
JA: Are you fixing your Regal yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes, i have very low fuel pressure. but car ran last year.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: i dont think so

At the fuel pump connector- with key on, engine off, take a voltage reading across the Gray ( + ) and Black ( - ) wires. There should be battery voltage. If voltage is good, a fuel pressure test should be done. Install the pressure gauge. With key on, engine off, fuel pressure should read between 52-59 psi. If pressure is low, check the fuel filter for clogs. If good, the fuel pump will need to be replaced. Please remember to leave a rating using the 'stars' or click 'Accept'.
