Buick Lucerne Not Heating When Heater On.

Customer Question

My 2006 Buick Lucerne does not get hot when heater is turned on and sometimes it does get hot but goes off after within a short period of time. Also on my way home earlier I had the heater on which it wasn't working but it did go up to over heat mode so I turned it off and it went back to normal. I stopped and checked no leaks no steam coming from the motor.
Would like to know what is the problem?

It sounds like the thermostat may be sticking closed. Has the thermostat been checked or replaced?
