Code On Buick Is On After Crankshaft Replacement.

Customer Question

1996 Buick Roadmaster had a code to change crankshaft position sensor. It has been replaced but the service engine light is back on.
The scan tool shows code and still says to change sensor. The car idles a little high. I have also replaced water pump, distributor and rebuilt the throttle body.
Why is this happening?
