Hi I have a 2012 buick Verano that will not start with the remote. I have no idea where the ignition switch is that I use when the remote control is not working. C an you help
JA: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded?
Customer: No I have not checked the terminals
JA: Are you fixing your Verano yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I haven't done anything. I would like to try the start not using the remote but don't know where to put the key.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: It may help to know that I am 86 years old and not to mechanically inclined anymore.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If you have the keyless starting system then there isn't a lock cylinder to insert a key to start the engine. Starting is accomplished through the button only.

Are you seeing a message of any sort when trying to start the engine?
