Hi Im David. first thing i need to know is if it will crank or start with being jumped?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No, will not crank at all
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

ok. new starter, new battery. so, we need to look at the connections at the starter. make sure they are clean of corrosion and not loose. same at the battery terminals and posts. then follow the main ground from the battery to where it attaches to the engine, make sure thats clean and tight.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Did all that
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

what about the ign1 fuse, the starter solenoid fuse, and the bat 1 fuse in the engine compartment fuse panel?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Checked all that all good
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

pull the starter relay out put a jumper wire in, key on, and see if it starts

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

it might be called a crank relay

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

here ya go

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
will try that
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Can I let you know in about 30
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

absolutely im here with ya til we git er dun

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Not sure where I am jumping from or to have crank relay off there are 4 prong where would I jump from and to
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

ok hold on....

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

you have a meter?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Volt meter??
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

yes

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I do
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

pull the relay, check for 12 vdc in any of the slots. there should be 2 with voltage and 2 without....jump 12 volts to one of the ones with no voltage. if that doesnt work try the other one with no voltage...remember key on

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Thank you will try
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Still no crank
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

ok do you have voltage on any of the slots?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
2 slots reading 12v 2 nothing ran jumper hot to not and still will not turn over
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

so 12volts isnt making it to the starter.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
tracing the wires to see if break Crack etc
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

or to the pcm

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

well you can try putting the jumper in and checking at the starter for voltage first. i know you replaced the starter, but it wouldnt be the first time a new starter is bad.

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

then if thats good. we'll have to check about getting voltage to the pcm

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Checking that now
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Power to starter
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
How do i check pcm and where is it
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

power to starter? thats good. hang on a few. thank you.

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

there is a fuse that is labeled "inkey"the diagram shows it being in the center console fuse block.... that is power for the starter solenoid... can you check that first?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
None are marked in key in book or panel
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

ok..let me look into that

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

have you checked this one?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
That's where we looked and looking at manual nothing marked inkey
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

strange...ok

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

ok here is a pic of it, now i just have to figure out how to get to it

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

is this the same as the one on the side of the console?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
That doesn't look like what I am looking at
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

yea actually its the back of that panel where all the wiring goes into it. so we will need to check the ecm for voltage.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Sorry to sound dumb but the fuse or the actual module
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

the actual ecm. its under the air filter box

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

but before that, try rapping on the starter while someone is trying to start it.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Will do
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

any luck?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Sorry had to go to work will be checking first thing this morning and let you know
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

ok thanks

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok David have ecm accessible how do I test ecm
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

did you rap on the starter while trying to start?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I did power to starter
Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

ok...gimme a sec

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

ok. here is a diagram with the crank signal to the pcm...

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

the yellow/black wire on connector c2 pin 76.... need to check for voltage there as someone tries to start

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

crank relay diagram is the first one i sent a couple days ago.... if there is no voltage then you might have to pull the relay panel if you cant see what position in the relay the yellow/black wire is so we can do a continuity test of that wire

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

any update?

Expert:  david craig replied 1 year ago.

do you still need assistance?

Expert:  kalamykid replied 1 year ago.
