Customer Question

Can we possibly fix an automatic (?) window to open and close? Century 1999. But only has 58,000 miles and always has been in our garage. We are seniors and not mechanically inclined. Thanks.

Hello, the first question i have is, when you use the switch, does the window motor make any noise ? like any crunching noises or cracking noises? or do you hear nothing at all?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Unfortunately nothing!

OK so the next easiest thing to try is to bang on the door panel as you press the window switch, that can possibly jar the window motor into operation, let me know if that helps.

Well, we tried and tried - unfortunately here in St. Lou it's steamy hot and storming so we couldn't "bang" very long - but nothing happened - we welcome any further suggestions you may have. Thanks.

ok so if we have no movement , that means the regulator is not the issue its the motor, since banging on the door did not help the motor can still be the issue or the power supply to the motor. let me see what powers it , you may have to remove or replace a fuse if you know how to do that ?
