JA: What is the model/year of your Buick?
Customer: Buick Verano 2012
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I am hoping to fix this myself. I have not tried anything yet because it is dark now and the car does not have any power at all
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: It was working fine when I parked it last night and this morning I tried to get in ( remote entry) but had to use the side key. The car had no power even the brake lights would not come on. The car has no power at all .
JA: Have you checked the brake light switch? How about the fuses?
Customer: I have not checked the fuses. It would be the main fuse that would control the whole car .

I have been in the auto repair business with my own shops since 1975 and also teach automotive repair. I am confident we can resolve your problem together. Please understand that I don't know your skill level. In most cases when you have a problem with the way the vehicle performs, specialized tooling is required to acquire computer data/information or engine testing results. We didn’t build these complicated vehicles; we just diagnose and fix them. Also understand that I can't see, smell, hear, or touch the vehicle either, so it may take a few replies to get to satisfactory results. I am also going to direct you with the fastest, easiest and most common things to check first. Please be patient and permit me to do what I do best.

You first need to check the battery for a full charge, then load test it with a meter. If this is good, then we need to start checking power connections to your fuse box from your power distribution box under the hood.
