Hello, to adjust the rear brakes you want to turn the adjuster untol the brakes barely grab with the drum on while spinning the drum.

If you look at the picture above step 11 in the instructions below the part to turn is the one marked 2. There should be a rubber plug in the back of the brake backing plate so you can insert a screwdriver or brake sppon and turn it with the drum on.
