Hello, my name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I have noticed that your question was not getting a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.Buick dose not offer and steps for repairing the ash try and in most cases if its not staying closed and hanging down then that usually means you are going to need to replace the assembly. One option you may have is to contact your local salvage yard and see if you can purchase a used assembly.

thank you ron will check with my dealer they should have fixed this or replaced the assembly right?

Yes if it was broken when you bought it then yes, they should take care of it for you.
