Customer Question

94 Buick LeSabre.
About 20% of the time, it won't start and the Security Light comes on.
After it timesout (about 3 minutes), the car turns over nearly every time. On very rare occasions I have to wait a second time.

Hello, my name is***** you for the question. This is almost always caused by a break in the wiring coming from the sensor in the ignition lock cylinder. You would need to replace the lock cylinder by taking the steering column apart to repair it. It is very common to have a small break and it wont make connection at some points and it will at others causing it to be intermittent. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need more help.
