Greetings and welcome to Just Answer. My name is Mark.

Is your shifter a "column" shift or a "floor" shift ?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
floor shift
Okay, thanks for getting back to me.

Pull the shifter ALL the back. Like say 1st gear.

Now look down on the FRONT of the shift knob. See that little slot on the FACE of the shifter. Insert a little screwdriver inside that little slot and pull out a retainer clip. The clip will be square-like with one side missing. Your knob should slide right off.
