How can I access the rear speakers of a 2006 Buick Rendezvous so I can wire a line level adapter for an external amplifier?
Hello, and welcome. are you need ing the service info on rear speakers in the rear doors?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
I suppose that is what I need. I need to solder a hi-z to lo-z adapter to both left and right speakers (box has RCA female connectors on it) so I can run an RCA cable to my external amplifier.

my apologies, have to go, i will opted out and let another expert help you

Welcome to JustAnswer, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I'm here to help get your problem resolved. I would access wires behind radio because its going to be harder to run wires through door jams. Here are wire colors for speakers and instructions to remove radio. let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

Do I have to totally remove the radio (i.e. unplug)? I think that it is one of those theft-proof radios that requires you to enter a code if either the radio is removed, or the battery is disconnected.

Yes you will need to disconnect it but you should be fine because it will still be programmed for your vehicle. Let me know if you have any questions, thanks.

Here are also intructions to remove door panel if you want to stick with orignal plan. Let me know if you have questions, thanks.

I was curious...In a previous post pertaining to speaker wire colors...you have the yellow wire as being the left rear negative. Yellow is also listed (on multiple sites) as being the switched power wire from the ignition....

Yellow is switched power if you connect a wire harness which converts stock wiring to standard colors which is your best option. Let me know if you have questions, thanks.
