2000 Buick Lesabre: headlight..dimmer switch..low beams to high beam

This answer was rated:

2000 Buick Lesabre headlight dimmer switch. Is it defective when it will not change low beams to high beam and stay there or sometimes all the lights go out for the traveling
vehicle. How do you fix this problem? They will come back on eventually if you keep clicking on the smart stick. It doesn't seem so smart anymore! One of the low beams
doesn't have current to it either and it doesn't work.
ok the first thing you need to fix is that dimmer/high beam low beam sitch needs to be replaced if it physically will not click to low to high.the dimmer switch is part of the turn signal multi function switch need to remove the steering wheel and then the plastic upper and lower trim over to replace itgraphic

Can you refer met to anything on line that will give all the correct steps to accomplish this procedure correcly? Do I need any special tools to do this? Do you a a source for the parts besides a GM dealer?
most aftermarket parts stores like pep Boys or Auto Zone or Napa will have them.the only special tools you need is a steering wheel puller to remove the steering wheel.and the air bag release tool.once the wheel is off its very easy to change
