what you can do is open the hood and on the fuel rail where the fuel injectors are there should be a fuel pressure test port on the should have a shrader valve style fitting on it.very similar as a tire valve on your rims that you add air to the tire.put a rag around it and remove the plastic cap and push down on the center of that and it will release the fuel pressure.should be # XXXXX in this picturegraphic

Is this located on top of engine about middle of compartment
Expert:  Gary replied 6 years ago.
yes.looking at that picture i sent in the last post the fuel rail in where all the injectors connect into on top of the engine.

would ther be an air / vacume hose small hose 1/4 inch about 3 inches long attached to the part in the picture
Expert:  Gary replied 6 years ago.
yes.and right next to that on the rail there should be a plastic cap you unscrew by hand (its a dust cap cover similar to a valve stem cap on a tire)

no air really came out but a little gas did is that ok and if so thats it pressure is released to change filter ok to remove lines from filter
Expert:  Gary replied 6 years ago.
yes that released most of the you can change the filter.make sure you wrap a rag around the fitting on the filter when you release them.some fuel will drip out .that is how you release the don't panic if your undoing the fuel lines and you see fuel come out.even though the pressure is released there is still fuel in those lines its just not pressurized to 60 PSI now since you released the line pressure
