Buick: century..turn signal..We even tried bulb grease

This answer was rated:

My century Buick 1999 has reoccurring turn signal problems. They keep going out even 8 hours after they have been replaced. We even tried bulb grease. This is the front turn signals only. On one side the running light does not work because the heat caused the socket to burn up. There is no moisture in the light assembly.
the fact that the bulbs melted the sockets tells me that the socket is the issue. A loose connection inside the socket will overheat the bulb connections and cause it to short . Replace the bulbs and sockets and you should have no more troubles.
