Hello I will help you with your question,

Does the fuel pump run?

This is a problem then. I remove the filler tube and use a small hose (large garden type hoses no longer fit) and siphon the fuel into a container. There are had pumps that will remove the fuel as well. Once I get at least half out I can drop the tank and get the pump out so I can empty the tank the rest of the way with a drop in fuel pump. It can get pretty dicy with a half a tank of sloshing fuel so you have to have help and work slowly.

Let me know what I can do to help you with this

Thank you

What if I can run the fuel pump?
Expert:  George H. replied 7 years ago.

If you can run the fuel pump that makes life easier!

Use a paperclip to jump from the relay pin terminals to turn the pump on after you remove the fuel filter and use a piece of vacuum/fuel hose to direct the stream into a suitable container. It will take about 45 minutes to drain a full tank.

The relay is in the panel along the right end of the dashboard, jump from the #30 to the #87 socket as indicated on the relay and you will have to turn the key to the run position.

The relay is a bear to get to but it is easier than dropping a half full fuel tank
