Customer: I am trying to replace the ignition switch p/n5005801 mounted on the omc remote control unit which is mounted on the side of the center console. The motor is a 1998 Johnson 40 HP. I need to know if I need to remove the side of the omc to remove the switch. The omc unit has the throttle and fast idle lever on it. You could call me at(###) ###-####

you will need to the control box from side of the boat then remove screws from the backside and the handle from the back
