Mechanic's Assistant: Sometimes things that you think will be really complicated end up being easy to fix. The Marine Mechanic I'm going to connect you with knows all the tricks and shortcuts. Tell me a bit more about what's going on so the Marine Mechanic can help you best.

Westerberg 4-107 diesel on a 37' sailboat. it has been well maintained. Today it will not start, when I turn the ignition nothing happens. The engine does not turn over. I checked batteries with a voltmeter and should be good. I also have a portable jumper to help the starter battery. I made sure the kill switch is off, the fuel pump sounds like it is working. the gauges have current going through them.

Mechanic's Assistant: Sometimes boat issues seem like they'll be really complicated, but end up being easy to fix. The Marine Mechanic I'm going to connect you with knows all the tricks and shortcuts. Is there anything else important you think the Marine Mechanic should know?

I have sent this question to the website already order ID17945070-117 I already did that.

We need to test voltage on all the wires at the key switch. You should have voltage to red terminal all the time and voltage to A terminal with key in on position then voltage to the S term. white wire with key in crank position.

If you have voltage on all the terminals we need to check for voltage on both terminals of the neutral safety switch. The safety switch can be in the control or on the transmission.

I believe yours is on the transmission.

Can you do these checks?
