2007 Volvo Penta 5.7 Gi-g From a cold start the engine

Customer Question

2007 Volvo Penta 5.7 Gi-g
From a cold start the engine starts fine and idles at 600rpm after approx. 5mins the Engine will stall
Restart engine and again it will stall after 5mins.
If I adjust the RPM to 800rpm it runs fine.
I have changed the IAC valve
Cleaned the flame arrester
Cleaned the fuel pressure regulator
Low pressure pump fuel pressure 18psi book says it should be 8psi
High pressure fuel pump 52psi book says 50-60psi
I have the Rinda scan tool and there are no alarms
I can adjust the rpm also using the Rinda scan tool
any help appreciated

Good morning, my name is***** read what you wrote. Do you have the Techmate hand held tool or the Diacom PC based version of the Rinda? Is the fuel pressure maintaining that 52 PSI as the engine stalls?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Hi Jason
yes I have the Rinda Scan tool
I have had a fuel gauge and the pressure at both the low & high pumps are staying constant at all revs.
It stays at 52psi when the engine stalls and does so for over 15mins

Which scan tool do you have, the hand held version or the laptop computer version? Is it the Techmate tool or the Diacom tool?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
It's the Handheld version Techmate, there are no alarms looked on it

If you start off at the main menu, and then go to "Main monitor data" and then scroll down to "ECM Faults" and hit select, are there any faults showing?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
No

If you start the engine up, and then go down to "warning monitor". What does it say on the screen?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Not at my boat till tomorrow so will let you know then, any other checks that you can think of ?

When at idle what reading should the TPS be ?
Expert:  Jason replied 4 months ago.

No, not yet. The problem is the hand held scanner is very limited and there is no way to export data. If you had Diacom then I would just have you send me a recording, and I could open that recording up on my end. But with the hand held all you can do is write down everything the screen says and let me know what it says. On the TPS, is your's reading in percentage or in voltage?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Percentage
Expert:  Jason replied 4 months ago.

It should say more or less zero at idle.

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Ok will check tomorrow
Thanks
Expert:  Jason replied 4 months ago.

Okay keep me posted.

Jason
When the butterfly valve is closed at idle should the IAC valve be slightly open ?
Expert:  Jason replied 4 months ago.

What does the scan tool say how far the IAC is open in percentage with the engine idling?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Will check tomorrow will the scan tool tell me how far it's open ?
Expert:  Jason replied 4 months ago.

Yes it will. As to what it is supposed to say will depend on the TPS % of well. When you do this watch the live data and let me know what the following says;

TPS %

IAC %

MAP or air pressure

Manifold vacuum

Oil pressure

Engine voltage

Reference voltage.

Lets see what all those things are reading and we will take it from there.

Readings From Rinda TechMate
Expert:  Jason replied 4 months ago.

I see everything. If you hook up the scan tool and turn the key on but do not start the engine, and then take the throttle and open it 25% of he way, 50% of the way, 100% of the way, does TPS% increase when you move that throttle handle, or does it stay at 0?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Hi
I am not at my boat now, and wont be until the weekend.
Expert:  Jason replied 4 months ago.

Okay no problem. Just let me know hat happens and we will take it from there.

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Hi
Checked throttle position at wide open and it read 100% half way 50% shut 0%
This time I got a code logged
Code 0336
`Crank Input Signal Noise- So I fitted a new Crankshaft Sensor and it still stalled :(
