I am in the process of purchasing a 21 ft center console

Customer Question

I am in the process of purchasing a 21 ft center console with a Merc Verado 150. The marine surveyor noted that the power trim motor housing was heavily corroded. The dealership quoted me a price of between 800.00 to 1,000 for parts and labor to replace depending on whether or not they had to pull the motor off the transom.
The questions are is a heavily corroded trim motor housing something to be concerned about ? and is the dealer quote for this job reasonable ?

Hi Ken, my name is Jason.

All Mercurys are cataloged by serial number. Do you happen to have the serial number on the motor, it's the only way I can look up parts and get prices.

Hi Ken, are you able to get the serial number?
