Hello. My name is Tan.

Could I get the engine model number please?

When engine starts to die push the choke does it run better? If no change squeeze the fuel primer bulb does it run better?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
J 150glen yes it runs better
Expert:  Tan replied 1 year ago.

Doing which? Choke or primer bulb?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Primer bulb
Expert:  Tan replied 1 year ago.

Ok that is VRO pump failure or fuel starvation.

When the engine quits if you squeeze the fuel primer bulb will engine restart?

Try running the engine on a different fuel source to eliminate the boat side fuel system.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It will restart
Expert:  Tan replied 1 year ago.

There are a couple of things we have to eliminate first before we can be sure it is the VRO pump, air leak or the boat side fuel system. So do the fuel tank and primer bulb test first. You did the primer bulb test leaving the other fuel source.

Post back with your findings.

Put fuel line in separate gas can on ground ran at 4000 rpms for about a minute and died
Expert:  Tan replied 1 year ago.

Ok now we need to do one more test. In this diagram we need to run a fuel line from A to B and run the engine.

Does the engine run or die? http://i.imgur.com/5JgaYZT.png

Expert:  Tan replied 1 year ago.

You could just connect your fuel line from the gas can to the B fitting on the VRO pump.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Same results dies
Expert:  Tan replied 1 year ago.

Ok the VRO pump is failing on the fuel side.

The fuel side of the pump can be repaired.

Are you going to repair or replace the pump?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Replace that's what I thought it was so I bought an in line fuel pump and it does the same thing
Expert:  Tan replied 1 year ago.

What do you mean inline fuel pump?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It's a 5 to 9 psi fuel pump like you would put on a car I already mix fuel in the tank so I deleted vro completely. I really think it's electrical. Can u get a bad power pack it's bran new from CDI
Expert:  Tan replied 1 year ago.

If it were electrical why is it that you can squeeze the primer bulb and the engine will run?

It is possible you could have another component of the ignition system failing.

But when you have an ignition issue the engine does restart after pumping the primer bulb.

If you start the engine and continue to squeeze the primer bulb will engine continue to run?

Expert:  Tan replied 1 year ago.

Do you have a timing light to check spark when engine starts to die?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Magnets in the flywheel are broken can't find a repair kit for 60 degree
Expert:  Tan replied 1 year ago.

I have never know of a magnet kit for the 60* motor.
